Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) this morning organised a five–hour Clean-up Exercise within the Central Business District (CBD) of Tema.

The Exercise forms part of the Regional Sanitation Day Campaign instituted by The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Linda Obenewa Akweley Ocloo.

The Exercise commenced at exactly 5:30am when the Metropolitan Coordinating Director, Mr. John Nana Owu addressed a gathering made up of Assembly members, Unit Committee Members, Staff of the Assembly as well as Workers drawn from Zoomlion. The groups we deployed to the selected locations for work to begin.

The group reconverged at the TMA Forecourt at 10:45pm to draw the curtain on today’s exercise. However, mop- up continues till tomorrow.
