The Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) derives its mandate from Ghana’s 1992 Constitution, Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936) and Legislative Instrument (LI) 1929 (2008) which establishes Tema Metropolitan Assembly. The Assembly is mandated to ensure the overall development of the metropolis through the formulation and implementation of policies, programmes and strategies that promote local governance and service delivery.
