Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) has made donations to the Tema Traditional Council towards their annual Homowo celebrations. The month-long celebration aims to strengthen traditional bonds and promote the rich culture and traditions of the Chiefs and people of Tema.
Tema Mayor, Hon. Ebi Bright was joined by the Member of Parliament for Tema East, Hon. Isaac Ashai Odamtten to present bags of maize, drinks, several bags of palm nuts, traditional drinks, packs of water and fish to support the Traditional Council as it climaxes the Homowo celebrations.
In her fraternal message to Niimei and Naamei, Hon. Bright commended them for their unflinching support to the resetting agenda of HE President John Dramani Mahama. She made particular reference to the prevailing peace within the Tema Traditional Area that has enabled effective local governance.
On his part, the MP for Tema East, Hon. Odamtten pledged to sustain the collaboration between himself and key stakeholders including the Assembly and the Traditional Council to ensure development.
The Acting President of the Tema Traditional Council, Nii Adjetey Agbo, speaking on behalf of the Council, thanked the Mayor and the MP for the gesture hoped for deeper collaboration going forward.
