Tema Mayor, Hon. Ebi Bright has engaged with Community One market traders affected by the June 29 flooding that caused extensive damage to drain infrastructure in the market, where a trader unfortunately lost her life.

That section of the Market has since been cordoned off. The Assembly after assessing the situation realized that the sixty- year old slap has lost its structural integrity and requires total refurbishment.

At the meeting the Mayor admonished the traders to exercise patience as the Assembly was prepared to quickly restore the drain in a couple of weeks (less than two weeks).

On their part, the traders thanked the Mayor for her assurance and pledged their full cooperation to ensure the project’s successful completion.
