Tema, Thursday, January 22 — The Mayor of Tema, Hon. Ebi Bright, today led an intensified stakeholder engagement, sanitation and nuisance removal exercise across the metropolis, with particular focus on the Harbour Ceremonial Street, as part of the ongoing National Sanitation & Tema’s Urban Renewal Programme.

The exercise involved the removal of nuisances and the mapping of signages to assess compliance with permit requirements. The Mayor emphasized that all signages must be duly permitted and announced the deployment of an advanced digitized system to track and monitor permits and compliance across the metropolis.

Hon. Ebi Bright also called on corporate organizations operating within Tema to cooperate fully with the Assembly by complying with permit regulations and settling all outstanding obligations to support effective service delivery and urban management.

Reaffirming the Assembly’s commitment to firm but fair enforcement, the Mayor stated, “Tema’s urban renewal is not just about structures; it is about restoring order, responsibility and pride in our city.”

The exercise forms part of sustained efforts by the Tema Metropolitan Assembly to restore order, cleanliness and dignity to the metropolis.
