The Mayor of Tema, Hon. Ebi Bright, on Friday, 27th June 2025, led some Heads of Departments on a tour of A Road and Sraha Electoral Areas in Community 8 to gather firsthand information on infrastructure issues related to sewerage and drainage, solid waste management, and illegal structures.

Also accompanying her were the Assembly Members of both electoral areas, Hon. Kwame Musah Mensah and Hon. Emmanuel Nongor, along with their Unit Committee members.

It was revealed that the sewer lines are damaged and inaccessible for repairs because residents have constructed concrete structures on them to meet their needs. The Mayor reminded residents that social infrastructure is a public good intended for communal use and should not be tampered with.

She expressed her disappointment at the extent of encroachment on all social infrastructure, including walkways and car parks, which are crucial for spatial planning purposes.
