The Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) on Saturday, 13th December, rolled out an intensive sanitation and beautification campaign aimed at restoring cleanliness and improving the aesthetics of the city.

The week-long exercise, which ends on Saturday, 20th December, targets Ceremonial Roads communities, markets, lorry stations, institutions, and across the metropolis. The campaign places strong emphasis on cleaning and beautifying immediate surroundings, including frontages, drains, open spaces, and access roads.

The Metropolitan Chief Executive, Hon. Ebi Bright, stressed that sanitation is a shared responsibility and called on all residents, businesses, and institutions to actively participate in the exercise.

She further disclosed that all Assembly Members are fully involved in the campaign and have been adequately resourced with the necessary logistics to effectively coordinate and supervise activities within their respective electoral areas.

Staff of the Assembly have been deployed across the metropolis to monitor compliance and support the field activities.

The campaign forms part of the Assembly’s broader efforts to promote environmental discipline, enhance public health, and improve the overall aesthetics of the city, positioning Tema as a clean, green, and well-organized metropolis.
