The Planning Directorate of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly has held separate Stakeholder Engagements at the Two Sub- Metropolitan District Council levels (Tema Central and Tema East) in its bid to evaluate, plan and prepare the Medium-Term Development Plan for the 2026 to 2029 four-year cycle.
The plan when complete will be the Blueprint to guide the Assembly’s Development Activities for the next Four years.
Leading the process, Mr. Samuel Lawer, Development Planning Officer of the Assembly, explained that the Assembly has a mandate to ensure that every four years, it prepares the MTDP as a blueprint to guide the Assembly in its development agenda. He explained that the forum also serves as a platform to review and ascertain its development gaps and also make projections based on social dynamics such as population growth etc…
Mr. Lawer hinted that the Assembly, in the coming days through its Public Affairs Unit, will deploy several avenues including its social media portals to enable members of the public to also contribute their ideas and bring on board concerns to be factored into the plan.
