Throughout the planning stages, the Tema Metro Security Council (MESEC) held strategic meetings to ensure a trouble -free funeral ceremony. On Saturday (29th October 2022) a large entourage including traditional rulers, politicians, religious bodies, and cross-section of the general public arrived at the funeral grounds to pay their last respects to the late King. Mayor Ashitey received the President’s representative, Lawyer Adumuah Bossman and his entourage at the funeral.

Firing of musketery, traditional warrior’s display of artistry, drum appellation and the rich display of Tema traditional norms were on full display. Chanting of War songs and invocation in Ga language triggered the “Torman spirit” to its crescendo when the warriors lifted the mortal remains of the king to it’s destination where it will be united with the ancestors.
