As part of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitment, SOLEVO Ghana has partnered with the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) under the Green Tema Initiative to undertake tree-planting exercises across the Tema Metropolis.
The partnership forms part of the Mayor’s vision to increase Tema’s green cover by 25% by 2030, creating a cleaner, healthier, more beautiful, and climate-resilient city for present and future generations.
The first phase of the exercise will involve planting shade and fruit trees in schools, public spaces, and communities across Tema, promoting environmental sustainability and encouraging citizens to take ownership of the city’s green transformation.
TMA commends SOLEVO Ghana for demonstrating corporate leadership through ESG-driven action and environmental stewardship.
The Assembly further calls on other corporate organizations, industries, institutions, development partners, and community groups to join the Green Tema Initiative. Organizations that support the programme will be recognized as partners in Tema’s sustainability journey and will receive acknowledgment under the Assembly’s ESG partnership framework.
