Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) has named Michael Teye as the Overall best Farmer for 2024.

Forty-One-year-Old Teye has several acres of Maize, Okro, onion and pepper, as well as livestock.

The Metro Best Farmer received a tricycle, several bags of fertilizer, Agro chemicals and many other farming implements.

In his keynote address, the Tema Mayor Hon. Yohane Amarh Ashitey, commended the Farmers and Fishers for their hard work and called on them to adopt modern farming techniques to increase their farm yields.

The Tema Metro National Farmers Day ceremony was attended by Dignitaries and residents from all walks of life including members of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly, Tema Traditional Council, Northern Tribal Chiefs, Heads of Private and Public Institutions amongst many others.
