Address to the 8th Assembly by the Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive, Hon. Yohane Amarh Ashitey, During the 3rd Ordinary Meeting of the Second Session of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly, held on Monday ,1st November 2021 at the New Assembly Hall, Tema.

This campaign will be a collaborative effort of all Assembly members, Decentralized and non-decentralized Departments, Parastatal organizations, co-operate organizations, the Traditional Council, Civil Society Organizations, our Development Partners and finally you”
In his address, the Mayor further stated that, ”the Local Economic Development of the Assembly is focused on mainstreaming private sector resources into the development programs of the Assembly. This is to close the gap between administrative and legislative functions of the Assembly as against the local economic development thereby improving the quality of life of the people at the same time offering greater opportunities for economic empowerment of our citizens. To this end, we shall continue to pursue all projects and programmes that will target the poor and vulnerable as well as providing enabling environment for the private sector most especially small and medium scale business to grow.
