The Mayor of Tema metropolitan assembly met with the stakeholders involved in the agitating about the purported sold of government land. According to a press release on Tuesday 17th April 2018, The Tema Metropolitan Assembly has taken notice of reports in sections of the media that a parcel of land adjoining the Golden Age Youth Centre at Community 4, Tema has been sold to a Korean Investor.

The claim is untruthful and the Assembly is asking the good people of Tema to disregard it, especially the youth and residents of Tema Communities 4 and 7. The Assembly has no dealings with any Korean Investor as it is being peddled in sections of the public, with the resultant misconception it may have caused in the minds of the residents.

According to the Public Relation Officer of TMA, Mr. Frank Asante, the Mayor, Hon. Felix Mensah Nii Annang-La is very zealous about the need to salvage all deteriorated educational infrastructure, and also to protect all public lands, including the parcel of land adjoining the Golden Age Youth Centre, a cause that is high on his Tema Restoration Agenda, so cannot allow such things to happen under his watch.

The press release was signed by the Public Relation Officer of the TMA, Mr. Frank Asante.
