Hon. Ebi Bright has secured an overwhelming support from Members of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly, to become the first ever female Mayor of Ghana’s premier Port and Industrial City.

In her acceptance speech after taking the oath of office, Hon. Bright pledged to provide the transformational leadership that will make Tema the economic and social power house that we all desire.

She bemoaned the current state of the City’s infrastructure, describing it as ‘a full-blown melting pot of an ageing social infrastructure ‘. She was however quick to add that our city is endowed with the human and resource capabilities that when harnessed, and properly deployed will reverse the trend and make Tema regain her past glory.
