The Newly appointed Mayor of Tema, Hon. Ebi Bright this afternoon arrived to a rousing welcome, as she pays courtesy call on the Tema Traditional Council.  Hon. Bright, accompanied by Officials and Members of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly, were at the Palace to formally introduce herself to the Chiefs and People of the Tema Traditional Area, and also seek their counsel as she assumes the high office of Mayor.

Nii Adjetey Agbo, Ag. President of the Tema Traditional Council, in his address pledged the Council’s support to the new Mayor and urged her to deliver her mandate excellently to make H.E The President proud.

Nii Agbo praised the resilience of Hon. Bright, and said she was a perfect role model for all women, not only in Tema but across the country.

On her part, Hon. Ebi Bright reaffirmed her commitment to transform Tema and make it a better place for all. She promised to deliver a tenure that will make Tema take it’s pride of place, as Ghana’s premier Port City.
