As part of his routine tour of the Tema Metropolis to keep abreast with pending issues and inspect ongoing projects as well as interventions being rolled out to address same, The Mayor, Hon. Yohane Amarh Ashitey, spent most part of his Wednesday afternoon touring Educational institutions (Community 8 no. 4 and Community 9 Redemption) where refurbishments are being done to improve on school infrastructure. The SOS International, Tema, through it’s Partners are collaborating with TMA to refurbish significant portions of the C8 No. 4 Basic School.

The Redemption Presby church in response to the Mayor’s clarion call for closer collaboration have set up an IT Laboratory for the Redemption Basic School.

Hon. Ashitey had earlier visited The Manhean Senior High Technical School and Acheampong Village storm Drains that require attention as well as the SOL Cement storm drains that also require the construction of a foot bridge to ease movement of pedestrian trekking that corridor.

In usual fashion, Mayor Ashitey interspersed his tour with brief stopovers where he had very personal interaction with members of the community.

Hon. Ashitey was accompanied on the tour by the Metropolitan Urban Roads Engineer and other Technical staff of the Assembly. [6TH April 2023]
