The Mayor, Hon. Yohane Amarh Ashitey has yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 22nd March 2023) held a crunch meeting with Management of Ghana Water Company, Tema Region, to discuss the erratic Water supply situation at Tema Manhean.
At the end of the marathon meeting, Hon. Ashitey and the Management of GWCL agreed on an interim arrangement where the entire township will receive uninterrupted water supply from Monday evening through Wednesday night.
Again, it was agreed that giant Water storage tanks shall be mounted at strategic locations to serve the most affected areas where water storage is a challenge to residents.
The Mayor prevailed on the Utility Providers to engage their stakeholders especially Commercial Water Operators (shower operators) in Tema Manhean as well as Tanker Operators to avert any discomfort amongst the general public. [23rd March 2023]
