Hon. Ebi Bright, together with engineers, officials from NADMO and other key departments, yesterday conducted a comprehensive assessment of areas affected by flooding in parts of Tema and Tema Newtown following the heavy rains.

The team visited several flood-prone communities to assess the extent of the damage, identify challenges, and gather information to guide the necessary response measures.

The assessment provided an opportunity for the technical team to evaluate drainage conditions, the impact on residents, and possible interventions to reduce the recurrence of flooding in the affected areas.

Hon. Ebi Bright reiterated the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions that will protect lives, property and improve the resilience of communities within Tema.

The exercise forms part of efforts to ensure a safer and better-planned urban environment for residents.
