Work is progressing steadily on the reconstruction of the Tema Community One Market drains.<\/p>\n
The reconstruction is being carried out by the Assembly under the supervision of Engineers of the Urban Roads Department, TMA.<\/p>\n
Demolition, desilting and evacuation of debris is completed, whilst excavation works has started in earnest, for reconstruction to commence.<\/p>\n
In view of the Assembly’s pledge to expedite works for traders to return to their businesses, the Engineers have adapted the “Beam- Block- Slap” method. The new construction will be provided with vents as there were no vents in the previous one. Again, an 8 meter ground beam will also be done for reinforcement.<\/p>\n
