The Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA), in collaboration with the Ghana Army Regimental Cadet Corps (GARCC) \u2013 Bravo Zone, has undertaken a clean-up exercise in parts of the Tema Metropolis as part of efforts to improve environmental sanitation and public health.<\/p>\n
The exercise brought together cadets and students from Tema Methodist Day Senior High School, Chemu Senior High\/Technical School and Tema Presbyterian Senior High School, who actively participated in cleaning streets, public spaces and drainage channels.<\/p>\n
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by the Assembly to promote responsible waste management, reduce flooding risks and encourage community participation in keeping the city clean.<\/p>\n
Officials of the Assembly commended the students and cadets for their commitment to community service and environmental stewardship, describing their participation as a demonstration of civic responsibility and leadership.<\/p>\n
They noted that maintaining a clean environment was a shared responsibility and called on residents, businesses, and institutions to support sanitation efforts by properly disposing of waste and keeping their surroundings clean.<\/p>\n
The TMA reiterated its commitment to partnering with schools, community groups and other stakeholders to advance its vision of making Tema one of the cleanest, healthiest and most resilient cities in the country.<\/p>\n
