\nSpeaking at celebrations on 20 March 2026, she described Tema as a city defined by strong ties across faiths and communities, saying she felt \u201clike family\u201d among residents.
\nRepresenting President John Dramani Mahama and Local Government Minister Ahmed Ibrahim, the mayor congratulated the Metropolitan Chief Imam, Sheikh Hussein Ahmed, on his recent coronation and pledged support for Islamic education and youth programmes.
\nShe praised the Muslim community for its discipline and generosity during Ramadan and highlighted its longstanding contribution to Tema\u2019s development.
