The Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) is continuing with the distribution of teachers\u2019 desks, tables, and learners\u2019 furniture to public basic schools across the metropolis, with Community 8 Number 1 Basic School and Republic Basic School being the first beneficiaries.<\/p>\n
The initiative, spearheaded by the Mayor of Tema, Hon. Ebi Bright, aims to improve classroom conditions and support quality teaching and learning in all public schools within the metropolis.<\/p>\n
Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Ebi Bright explained that the distribution exercise would be carried out in phases to ensure that every school benefits.<\/p>\n
> \u201cWe are starting with schools that have the most pressing needs, but our goal is to reach every basic school in Tema. No child should sit on the floor to learn \u2014 every learner deserves comfort and dignity in education,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
She also extended an invitation to corporate institutions within Tema to support the Assembly\u2019s efforts.<\/p>\n
> \u201cTema is an industrial city blessed with many responsible companies. I call on Corporate Tema to partner with us in this mission to uplift our schools and invest in the next generation,\u201d she appealed.<\/p>\n
The Metro Director of Education, Madam Bernice Ofori, who received the items on behalf of the beneficiary schools, expressed appreciation to the Mayor and the Assembly for their continued support to education.<\/p>\n
> \u201cThis gesture is timely and deeply appreciated. It will go a long way to enhance teaching and learning conditions in our schools,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Teachers and pupils of Community 8 Number 1 Basic School and Republic Basic School expressed joy and gratitude, describing the donation as a relief that would significantly improve classroom comfort and participation.<\/p>\n
