The Mayor of Tema, Hon. Ebi Bright, has encouraged final-year students in the metropolis to give their best as they begin this year\u2019s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, the Mayor visited Chemu Secondary School and Olam Senior High School, where she interacted with candidates sitting for their first paper \u2014 the Oral English examination. During the visit, she also presented educational instruments to support the schools and motivate the students.<\/p>\n
In her remarks, Hon. Bright urged the candidates to focus on their studies and remain determined, reminding them that their hard work would define their future.<\/p>\n
> \u201cYou have no other option than to do well. Your families, your community, and the future of Tema are counting on you,\u201d she told the students.<\/p>\n
A total of 2,033 final-year students across five schools in the Tema metropolis are taking part in this year\u2019s WASSCE. The distribution is as follows:<\/p>\n
Chemu Secondary School \u2013 597 candidates<\/p>\n
Olam Senior High School \u2013 512 candidates<\/p>\n
Tema Presbyterian Secondary School \u2013 187 candidates<\/p>\n
Medas Senior High School \u2013 300 candidates<\/p>\n
Manhean Secondary School \u2013 437 candidates<\/p>\n
The Mayor assured the students of the Assembly\u2019s commitment to strengthening education in the city, adding that Tema must become a hub for academic excellence.<\/p>\n
