The Mayor, Hon. Yohane Amarh Ashitey has today launched the Tema Metro Green Ghana Project at the Community 8 No 4 Cluster of Schools.<\/p>\n
The ceremony was attended by representatives from various groups and institutions across the Metropolis. Key amongst them were representative from the industrial sector, two of whom supported the Assembly with a tricycle each, fitted with a tank. These tricycles shall be used by the Horticulture department for watering and nurturing purposes.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the event, Hon. Ashitey disclosed that the Assembly will assign 200 seedlings to each Assembly Member to be planted and nurtured. A monitoring mechanism will be put in place to reward Assembly members, who will record the most surviving seedlings in their electoral areas.<\/p>\n
The Mayor commended Kingdom Exim Group of Companies and Tema Lube Oil for their generous gesture and he called on other institutions to emulate the gesture.<\/p>\n
