The Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) Hon. Felix Mensah Nii Anang-La has called on this year’s basic education certificate examination (BECE) candidates in the Tema metropolis to strive for success in the ongoing BECE.<\/p>\n

Hon. Anang-La made the call when he and his entourage visited some examination centers in the metropolis. The MCE together with the Tema metropolitan director of education Mrs. Margaret Nsiah-Asamoah, the coordinating director for TMA Mr. Samuel Donkor, circuit supervisors, and heads of departments visited the Tema Manhean Secondary Technical, Chemu Senior High school, and Methodist Day Senior High school centers, to motivate the candidates on the first day of the five days\u2019 basic examination film<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In all 7,479 candidates from 190 basis schools in the Tema metropolis are taking part in this year’s BECE in the Tema West Municipality and Tema Metropolis. The candidates are made up of 3,929 girls and 3550 boys.<\/p>\n

The MCE also urged the candidates to avoid activities of examination malpractices which he said lead to imprisonment. Hon. Nii Anang-La said with the introduction of the free SHS program by the President of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, the future is bright for these candidates, all they need is good results.<\/p>\n

The MCE thanked the metro director of education and her team for their selfless support to education in Tema and Ghana as a whole. There were security personnel at all the centers visited.<\/p>\n
