{"id":1283,"date":"2018-03-31T16:32:00","date_gmt":"2018-03-31T16:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tma.gov.gh\/?page_id=1283"},"modified":"2018-06-22T08:43:15","modified_gmt":"2018-06-22T08:43:15","slug":"department-of-physical-planning","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tma.gov.gh\/index.php\/department-of-physical-planning\/","title":{"rendered":"PHYSICAL PLANNING"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row row wpb_animate_when_almost_visible wpb_right-to-left right-to-left\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-8\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element wpb_animate_when_almost_visible wpb_right-to-left right-to-left\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>The Department of Physical Planning at the Metro. level shall manage the activities of the Department of Town and Country Planning and the Department of Parks and Gardens.<\/p>\n<p>The Department shall<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>advise the Metro. Assembly on national policies on physical planning, land use and development;<\/li>\n<li>co-ordinate activities and projects of departments and other agencies induding Non-Governmental Organizations to ensure compliance with planning standards;<\/li>\n<li>assist in preparation of physical plans as a guide for the formulation of development policies and decisions and to design projects in the Metro.; (d) assist to identify problems concerning the development of land and its social, environmental and economic implications;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(e) advise on setting out approved plans for future development of land at the Metro. level;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>advise on preparation of structures for towns and villages within the Metro.;<\/li>\n<li>collaborate with the Survey Unit in the performance of its functions;<\/li>\n<li>facilitate and participate in research into planning in the Metro.; (j) assist to offer professional advice to aggrieved persons on appeals and petitions on decisions made on their building;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(k) facilitate consultation, co-ordination and harmonization of developmental decisions into a physical development plan;<\/p>\n<p>(I) assist to prepare a Metro.
